Cynthia Barksdale, UPCS, COS, TCS, CFM

Regional Property Manager

A graduate of the University of Texas, Cynthia has over 20 years of experience in real estate management in a wide range of development types and numerous states. Beginning this career in 1980 as a Project Manager for a partnership between Lincoln Property Company and Paragon Group (Dallas, TX), she then advanced to oversee properties for the Carlisle Property Company/Carlisle Outdoor, Inc. in 1984 as General Property Manager. In 1986 she became the first woman officer in the firm directing the management of over 1 million square feet of retail and office space, and numerous apartment complexes. In 1992 Cynthia then joined The Sovereign Management Corporation to direct their multi-family property operations and corporate personnel including Controller, Property Supervisors, and 35 Property Managers in 3 states, specializing in LIHTC, RTC Affordable Housing, and HUD related programs. She re-joined Carlisle in 1995 assisting in completing acquisitions for the billboard division and refinancing their large portfolio of loans for various properties. After relocating to Cincinnati (OH) area in 1998 she continued her career in property management, specializing in financials, operations, and budgeting for several Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky real estate entities.

Recalling her Texas roots, Cynthia joined the Orion team in 2001 as a Regional Manager. In addition to formal licensing and such designations as NAHP - Executive Member, AHM, COS, CFM, and CMH, Cynthia has considerable professional and charitable organizational commitments. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (Cincinnati and Dallas), University of Cincinnati Real Estate Roundtable, The Real Estate Council of Dallas, Dallas Women's Real Estate Auxiliary, and has served on various boards and commissions (Dallas County Grand Jury Commissioner for Judge Meier, Greater Dallas Crime Commission, Hope Cottage Friends, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation).
