Senior Regional Manager

Tuana has been serving the multi-family industry for over 20 years in the Houston and Dallas, Texas markets. Tuana has worked with the same client group and employees for the past four years and in July 2007 joined Orion with this same group.

Prior to joining Orion, Tuana was Senior District Manager for a local Houston, Texas firm for two years. She was responsible for recruiting, staffing, and team building for up to eight sites totaling 2,000 units. Specializing in affordable 501c3 Bond compliance, maximizing income and stabilizing expenses, Tuana was able to focus on her owner's and client's objectives.

From 2001 to 2005 Tuana was employed by a national property management firm and she specialized in repositioning assets for sale and team building. She supervised all aspects of daily operations including vacancy management, training, risk management, expense control, etc. During this time, Tuana won numerous awards for income growth and achieving company goals.

Tuana earned the Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) designation from the National Apartment Association in 1998 and the Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation from the National Association of Home Builders in 1999. Tuana is currently a Certified Property Manager (CPM) Candidate through The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Tuana earned the designation Uniformed Physical Conditions Standards Specialist in 2006 and Housing Quality Standards Specialist in 2007 from Nan McKay & Associates. Tuana has volunteered on the Houston Apartment Association Resident Relations Committee from 2004 to 2007 and was chairperson for 2007. Tuana has given her time to the Houston Apartment Associations SOAPS committee since 2005.
