In 1981 Gene began his real estate career with a large Houston based development company rising to Vice President - Property Management. He then oversaw all operations in a five state region for a national real estate management firm prior to joining Allied Realty Services.

As Chief Operating Officer of Orion Real Estate Services, Gene oversees the daily operation of property management including business planning, supervision of personnel and implementation of company policies and procedures.

A graduate of the University of Houston, Gene has been President of the Houston Apartment Association and a Vice President at Large for the Texas Apartment Association.. He currently serves on the Board of Houston Apartment Association, Board of Directors for Housing Credited Professionals, is a member of the Assembly of Delegates for NAA and a Associate Member of NMHC.
